The U.S. Resilience Project (USRP) was created to explore how private-sector best practices in resilience and risk management can serve national goals such as homeland security, infrastructure resilience, and disaster preparedness. The USRP has the following goals:
Capture business best practices and processes for security, cybersecurity, business continuity, and disaster preparedness. The USRP will explore the extent to which existing business best practices can satisfy homeland security, national preparedness, and infrastructure resilience goals.
Strengthen the ability of the public and private sectors to collaborate more effectively. Integrating private-sector best practices into national strategies offers a new paradigm for partnership—one that brings private-sector expertise, tools, and skills into the collaborative process.
Create momentum for change through education and training. The USRP will develop executive curriculum based on best practice and new partnership models. Its curriculum will revolve around scenario-based opportunities for collaborative problem solving.
